GENERAL INFORMATION

PROFILE OF THE INTERNATIONAL FLUTE ACADEMY
The Academy is addressed to students of all the musical institutions of the country and abroad, as well as professional flutists who wish to advance their knowledge in greater depth and/or bring up to date their musical knowledge.

REGISTRATION
The International Flute Academy will accept registrations until the 31th of May of 2010.
Registrations must be sent by e-mail to the Academy’s address with all the required information.
The costs for attending the Academy must be cancelled until May 31, 2010 to the following account:

IMPORTANT NOTICE
An obligatory charge of colombian Ps 8,900 is required by Davivienda for deposits made outside Bogotá.


NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
The minimum number of participants is 20 and the maximum is 35. The number of passive participants is unlimited.


IMPORTANT
The final admissión of a student will be confirmed by the Academy after the registration and payment of the tuiton have been received at the Academy. The participants must send to the Academy a copy of the deposit slip or its corresponding number. The Academy will not return under any circumstances the registration fee, once it has been confirmed.

DURATION
The Academy’s duration will be of 12 days: it includes the arrival and a welcoming cocktail, all the academic work, rehersals, the final concert and other activities.

DATES
The Academy will be held from 5th to 16th of August 2010.

VENUE (PLACE)
The Academy will hold its activities in Villa de Leyva, Colombia.
The Hotel and location will be also confirmed in the next days.

TUITION
A. Active Participants: colombian Ps. 500,000
B. Passive Participants: colombian Ps. 250,000
C. Daily Ticket for Passive Participants: colombian Ps. 40,000

The program for Active Participants includes:
Individual classes
Seminars
Chamber music
Orchestral training and audition
Final Concert

For Passive participants the program offers sitting in classes of the Academy and possible participation on the final concert.

ACCOMODATIONS, FOOD AND TRANSPORTATION
The costs of accomodation, food and transportation to the Academy will be paid by each participant. (See Accomodation - Hospedaje)

IMPORTANT
Hotel will maybe charge a fee of Ps. 10,000 daily to participants NOT staying at the hotel of the academy. This charge includes the right to use the hotel’s facilities only for activities related to the Academy, as well as two daily snacks.
